About the release
“Come Back To Me” is a 1993 garage-house classic featuring Perry Kemp’s soulful lead and gospel-style backing vocals across five club-focused mixes.
Afterglow’s “Come Back To Me” places Perry Kemp’s powerful, Teddy Pendergrass-style vocal at the centre of a classic garage-house production by Ron Allen and Derek Brin. Gospel-influenced backing vocals add lift and emotional scale without losing the record’s underground club foundation.
The Club, Jazz, Psycho Bass, Jazz Dub and Radio mixes give DJs a full palette—from vocal peaks to deeper, more rhythmic passages. It can anchor a 1990s garage set, bring live-feeling soul into a contemporary house program or provide multiple versions for creative sequencing. This is a vocal-house record built with both songcraft and club utility in mind.
