Toronto’s legendary Strobe Records presents The Sound of Light, a digital treasure chest of 15 remastered classic house gems pulled straight from the label’s early ‘90s vaults — a time when house music was raw, soulful, and built for the underground.
Founded by Ron Allen and Hayden Andre, Strobe became one of the most respected indie imprints of the era, setting the tone for a generation of producers with its unmistakable deep, melodic, and percussive sound. From Subculture ft. Marcus’s “The Voyage” and The R.A.S.E.’s “Get On Up (Groovy Disco Mix)” to Hayden Andre’s “Tribal Life”, Kingdom Come’s “Groovy Baby”, and Helen Sharpe’s “Got 2 Have Your Love”, this collection captures the DNA of classic house in its purest form.
