Deep 6 Syndicate’s six-track Jak Attack EP connects Chicago jack, Detroit soul and modern minimal deep house through Ron Allen, Demarkus Lewis and Mike Shilling.
The package moves from the 909-driven Demarkus Lewis and Mike Shilling mix of “Jak Attack” into Ron Allen’s deeper interpretation, then opens the Strobe vault with alternate versions of “On & On,” “Depth” and the previously unreleased “Deeper Into You.”
For DJs, the EP covers raw warehouse pressure, melodic after-hours movement, soulful vocal looping and sub-heavy minimalism. The tracks work individually, but together they form a coherent journey through deep house history and forward-looking club function.
