“Wordz” pairs Affrica Spence’s heartfelt spoken-word performance with Ron Allen’s deep, soulful and rhythmically driven afro-house production.
Ron Allen builds “Wordz” around the voice of poet and spoken-word artist Affrica Spence. Her heartfelt delivery becomes part of the rhythm, moving through a deep, soulful afro-house framework shaped by percussion, low-end movement and understated musical detail.
The result gives DJs a vocal moment that feels thoughtful without losing dancefloor function. It can anchor an afro-house sequence, bring spoken-word intensity into a deeper set or create a transition from instrumental material into something more human and message-led. “Wordz” is a Strobe record where language, groove and emotion share equal weight.
