Diaspora is Ron Allen’s 14-track second album, connecting deep and soulful house with afro-influenced rhythm, disco, jazz and Detroit-informed electronic music.
Released during Strobe Records’ 35th anniversary, Diaspora expands the language of Underground Harmonics into a more global and personal journey. Warm basslines, spiritual chords, emotional vocals and drums that swing with purpose connect the album’s varied influences.
The DJ-length arrangements move from intimate warmup material to percussive club tracks and soulful vocal peaks, giving selectors a complete arc rather than a collection of disconnected singles. Diaspora bridges Strobe’s early-’90s roots with the hybrid house movement of 2026.
