“Stranded in Paris” turns Ron Allen’s unexpected overnight in the city into deep house, with dub and lounge-jazz versions inspired by the experience.
A cancelled connection at Charles de Gaulle sent Allen into an Olympic-era Paris alive with light, movement and possibility. The contrast between travel frustration and spontaneous discovery became the track’s emotional pulse.
The release gives DJs multiple ways into that story: the main version carries the full journey, the Dub offers a more functional late-night tool, and the lounge-jazz vocal mix reflects the atmosphere of Parisian cafés. It is personal club music shaped by place and chance.
