The remastered “Lift The Nation EP” is the second How 2 House release by Ron Allen and the first collaboration between Allen and Hayden Andre.
Originally released on the UK’s Outer Rhythm in 1990, “Lift The Nation EP” followed the 1989 How 2 House classic “Time 2 Feel The Rhythm.” The project is also the first collaboration between Ron Allen and Hayden Andre, foreshadowing the partnership that would soon establish Strobe Records.
“Lift The Nation,” the How 2 Mix and “I Want U 2 Love Me” move through deep, moody early-house territory with the raw economy of the period. For DJs, the remaster restores a foundational Toronto–UK connection and three cuts suited to classic-house, acid-informed and heritage sets. It is both a beginning and a working piece of dancefloor history.
