“Melody” is a stripped-back afro-house release by Toronto artists Ron Allen and J Wyze, built around a hypnotic marimba groove and designed for deep, late-night DJ sets.
Ron Allen links with fellow Toronto artist J Wyze on “Melody,” an afro-inspired cut from the album Diaspora. A warm marimba motif anchors lean percussion, deep low end and carefully placed melodic details, leaving space for J Wyze’s grounded vocal flow to sit inside the rhythm.
The Original Mix offers DJs a patient, groove-led tool for afro house, minimal and melodic sets, while the Radio Mix and Instrumental expand its programming options. Subtle rather than overstated, “Melody” builds tension through repetition and movement—music for selectors who know that the right locked groove can carry a room.
