The remastered “Voices EP” restores three early Infra-Red tracks by Ron Allen and Hayden Andre, including “Give Me Your Body,” “Voyage 2 Infinity” and “I’m Your Freak.”
Ron Allen and Hayden Andre formed Infra-Red after meeting at Bigshot Records in 1990, before co-founding Strobe the following year. The “Voices EP” captures that formative chemistry across “Give Me Your Body,” “Voyage 2 Infinity” and “I’m Your Freak,” tracks distinguished by the duo using their own voices rather than relying only on sampled hooks.
Remastered for collectors and DJs, the EP restores an important prehistory of the Strobe sound: raw ideas, direct vocals and early machine-house experimentation. The three tracks give selectors a compact source of rare Toronto club music and reveal how the partnership behind Infra-Red began taking shape.
