“Be Yourself” is a rare remastered Wax Fruit production by Ron Allen, bringing 1994 Toronto deep-house character back to digital DJ crates.
“Be Yourself” returns from the 1994 Wax Fruit EP in a newly remastered digital edition. Originally released through Definitive Recordings, the track reflects Ron Allen’s classic-house approach: soulful movement, deep rhythmic focus and a groove made to work over time.
The remaster gives DJs a clean way to program this rare Toronto cut alongside both period records and contemporary deep house. Its understated energy makes it useful in warm-up sequences, heritage sets and long transitions where swing matters more than spectacle. “Be Yourself” is another recovered link between Strobe’s creative circle and Canada’s early underground house network.
