Infra-Red’s Metamorphasis EP, catalogue ST001, is the 1991 debut release from Strobe Records by Ron Allen and Hayden Andre.
Detroit-techno influence meets Toronto house rhythm on the record that opened the Strobe catalogue. The production established an early interest in machine soul, deep arrangement and cross-border underground exchange that would continue across the label’s releases.
For DJs and collectors, Metamorphasis is both a foundational document and a functional club record. Its raw electronic character connects naturally with classic house, early techno and contemporary sets built around stripped, historically informed grooves.
