“Mindgames” is a remastered spoken-word deep-house gem from Ron Allen’s 1994 Wax Fruit EP, restored for modern digital crates.
Originally released on Definitive Recordings as part of the Wax Fruit EP, “Mindgames” returns with its deep-house pulse and spoken-word character restored. Ron Allen’s production combines a steady club groove with a more psychological vocal edge, giving the track identity without overcrowding the arrangement.
For DJs, the record can add narrative tension to a classic-house set or bring authentic 1990s texture into a contemporary deep sequence. Its balance of voice, rhythm and restraint makes it especially effective in longer blends. “Mindgames” is a rare Strobe-adjacent archive cut brought back for selectors who dig beyond the obvious anthems.
