The “Concepts Of Higher Dimension EP” is Ron Allen’s Detroit-techno-influenced 1991 Trancendence release and Strobe Records’ third catalogue entry, originally pressed on gold vinyl.
Under the Trancendence alias, Ron Allen explored Detroit-techno influence on Strobe’s third release of 1991. “Luv N Happiness,” “Frenzy” and “Magique Noir” balance machine rhythm, deep-house instinct and a more futuristic electronic edge; the original edition arrived on distinctive gold vinyl.
The EP gives DJs three ways to bring early Strobe techno into a set, from soulful motion to tougher pressure and darker atmosphere. It also documents the label’s range at the beginning: Strobe was never limited to one house formula. “Concepts Of Higher Dimension” is a key Toronto–Detroit bridge and a foundational Ron Allen release.
